BRING DOWN YOUR SHOULDERS, SIR/MA

I have come to realize that pride is nothing but the result of ignorance.

If you see any man or woman walking in pride, they are simply displaying their lack of knowledge.
If you are not ignorant as a proud person, you will definitely know that whatever is making you proud is not yours, to begin with.
Whatever is giving you a swollen head or pumped-up shoulders is not yours in the real sense of it. It was given to you by God.
Is it Money or Wealth that is making you arrogant? Deuteronomy 8:18 makes it clear that it is God that gives you and me the power to create or get wealth.
If God has not crowned your efforts with success, there is no amount of labor exerted that would have yielded any result.
Is it beauty or handsomeness that has made you as proud as a peacock? Remember you didn't create yourself. So what are you puffed up about?
I want you to also remember that a day is coming when wrinkles will appear on that fine face as old age begins to set in.
Is it knowledge or Intelligence that is intoxicating you? God is the giver of knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. Remember?
Is it the Anointing? It's the Anointing OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, not yours. You are just a conduit for the flow of the Anointing; that's all.
Is it your talents, special abilities, and skills that have given you an over-bloated self-image? Those packages come from God.
There is nothing you have today that was not given to you either by God or the people that God has raised for you. So, bring your shoulders down.
Can I also tell you something?
No matter how good you think you are right now, someone else somewhere is still far better than you.
The truth is you are not the best everywhere. You might be the best somewhere, but you are definitely not the best everywhere.
Remember what Pride did to Lucifer, Nebuchadnezzar, Vashti, and Herod. Wisdom, therefore, demands that you learn from them.
Uncle, Aunty, Daddy, Mummy, bros, sis, bring your shoulders down before God Himself brings them down for you.
I would rather humble myself than for God to humble me. The former is better and more blessed while the latter is not always a pleasant experience.
Calm down sir/ma!

The Painful Reality of Life: When the Rain Stops, the Umbrella Becomes a Burden

Life often teaches us some of its harshest lessons through the simplest of metaphors. Consider the umbrella, a faithful companion during a storm. It shelters us, keeps us dry, and provides comfort against the elements. But once the rain ceases, that very umbrella, so crucial moments ago, becomes a cumbersome burden. This transition captures a painful truth about loyalty and human relationships: when the benefits cease, so too does the loyalty. In our lives, many people flock to us not for who we are but for the value we bring and the benefits they can derive from us. They thrive on the opportunities, support, and advantages we offer. As long as we are useful, as long as we can provide shelter from life's storms, we are cherished and needed. But when the rain stops—when the benefits diminish—these same people often disappear, leaving us to ponder the true nature of our connections. This realization can be incredibly disheartening. We yearn for genuine relationships, for loyalty that...

My 96-Hour Goose Chase

A few days ago, I embarked on a journey I never imagined I would experience. It all started with a simple goal: to clear a small debt that had been weighing on me. I thought that taking a small loan would be the best solution to get back on my feet and settle everything. Little did I know that this decision would lead me into a 96-hour goose chase that cost me time, money, and trust. I began my search for a loan online, and after some browsing, I came across a Finance company that seemed legitimate. I reached out to them, eager to resolve my situation. After completing all the necessary forms on their website, they informed me that my credit score was low and, therefore, I wouldn't be approved for the loan unless I paid an upfront amount equal to one month's repayment (450 AED). They assured me that this amount would be refunded once the loan was processed and credited to my account. Naively, I rushed to the ATM to deposit the requested amount. Here's a breakdown of what fo...
