TAKE OFF THE MASK

Can I tell you something that will go a long way in lifting your spirit? Can I tell you something that will serve as a confidence booster as you aspire towards achieving success in life?
Permit me to tell you with absolute certainty that the easiest thing you can be in this world is you.
Don't fight with who you are. It is counterproductive to do so.
There is something tragic I have noticed under the sun which I believe ought to be addressed; I have noticed that many people like to be anything but themselves.
Some people just hate themselves. They can't live with the reality of who they are. So they try to live in denial.
There are people in life who constantly strive to be what they are not. They just want to be somebody else.
They want to have someone else's abilities, talents, possessions, and looks.
What such people do not know is that no one can truly be happy having something that does not belong to him. That person underneath will be full of frustrations.
In case you don't know, I will tell you. The denial of your true self does not exempt you from being sick. So stop pretending and be yourself.
You may not know this, but your life is a reflection of what you say to yourself. Stop telling yourself a lie.
Stop giving people the impression that you are what you are actually not. Be real. No one will crucify you for being you.
Stop forming slay queen up and down when actually you are nowhere near being a slay queen.
What's the sense in calling yourself Kimberly Jones on Facebook when the name your parents gave you is Amarachukwu Okere?
Why tell people your name is Jimmy Becks when your real name is Jimoh Bello?
Who are you fooling?
Stop forming tough girl when your heart is actually soft.
Why does your Facebook profile say you live in Amsterdam when actually you are resident in Lagos?
It all boils down to low self-esteem.
The best thing you can be in this life is you. When you wear a shoe that is not your size, you will walk in a funny way and you won't even move fast.
Self-deception is a long walk to nowhere.
I want you to know that It is not what you are that holds you back but the denial of who you are. When you deny who you are, you give yourself excuses for failure. Until you accept yourself the way God has made you, your eyes will remain closed to your potential.
Excuses are pathetic ways of avoiding responsibilities.
Excuses limit you and reduce the level of your thinking. Acceptance of excuses breeds both mental and physical laziness. It kills innovation and creativity.
Be truthful to yourself; come to terms with who you are. Accept yourself the way you are.
You don't have to be perfect to make a mark in this life but you have to accept who you are. You can actually be your best self.
If others can succeed with their limitations, you also can. You have all it takes to make it in this life.
Remove that mask and be yourself. I repeat it to you that the easiest thing you can be in life is you.
Remember, masks distort appearances. You can't enjoy life in someone else's body. You can't be fulfilled living somebody else's life.
The purpose of God for your life is unique and you are the only one that has what it takes to fulfill that purpose, nobody else can fulfill it for you.
If you try to be like somebody else, the best you can be is No. 2. Don't fight with who you are.
Self-acceptance is critical on our pathway to destiny fulfillment. How can you expect others to accept you when you do not accept yourself?
Are you dark in complexion? Accept it, celebrate it and stop wishing you were light-skinned. There is no wisdom in bleaching your skin till you can boast of the seven colors of the rainbow on your face.
Are you the slim type? Accept it and stop wishing you were on the heavy side.
Are you short? Don't see it as a disadvantage. Danny De Vito in the United States, despite his small height, while there are tall guys out there that are tall for nothing.
Self-acceptance is a springboard to all our successes. Just be yourself and win the race of life.
Take off that mask. You can never sell yourself by trying to be like somebody else.
I hope I have been able to bless someone reading this post.

The Painful Reality of Life: When the Rain Stops, the Umbrella Becomes a Burden

Life often teaches us some of its harshest lessons through the simplest of metaphors. Consider the umbrella, a faithful companion during a storm. It shelters us, keeps us dry, and provides comfort against the elements. But once the rain ceases, that very umbrella, so crucial moments ago, becomes a cumbersome burden. This transition captures a painful truth about loyalty and human relationships: when the benefits cease, so too does the loyalty. In our lives, many people flock to us not for who we are but for the value we bring and the benefits they can derive from us. They thrive on the opportunities, support, and advantages we offer. As long as we are useful, as long as we can provide shelter from life's storms, we are cherished and needed. But when the rain stops—when the benefits diminish—these same people often disappear, leaving us to ponder the true nature of our connections. This realization can be incredibly disheartening. We yearn for genuine relationships, for loyalty that...

My 96-Hour Goose Chase

A few days ago, I embarked on a journey I never imagined I would experience. It all started with a simple goal: to clear a small debt that had been weighing on me. I thought that taking a small loan would be the best solution to get back on my feet and settle everything. Little did I know that this decision would lead me into a 96-hour goose chase that cost me time, money, and trust. I began my search for a loan online, and after some browsing, I came across a Finance company that seemed legitimate. I reached out to them, eager to resolve my situation. After completing all the necessary forms on their website, they informed me that my credit score was low and, therefore, I wouldn't be approved for the loan unless I paid an upfront amount equal to one month's repayment (450 AED). They assured me that this amount would be refunded once the loan was processed and credited to my account. Naively, I rushed to the ATM to deposit the requested amount. Here's a breakdown of what fo...
