YOU CAN'T BUT HAVE HATERS

No one likes to be hated. There is no one that doesn't appreciate being loved.

There is this feeling of satisfaction we all get from knowing we are the object of someone's attention and affection. It is such a good and wonderful feeling.

However, permit me to burst your balloons right away by telling you the absolute truth.

Everybody cannot like you. There are people that do not like you and may never like you till the end of your age.

It may bother you to discover that in spite of all your efforts to be good, nice, and well-behaved, some people still don't like you. But fret not, that is how life has been structured.

There are those who hate you because of an actual offense. You probably did something to them that earned you their hatred and dislike.

There are those who hate you because of a perceived offense.

In the eyes of such people, you have done something that is offensive but to you or other reasonable people, it's no big deal.

There are those who hate you because your spirit irritates their demons.

There are those who hate you because of what you stand for.

There are those who hate you because of what God is doing in your life.

There are those who hate you out of envy and jealousy.

They have compared themselves with you and have concluded there is no way they can ever get to your level, so automatically they develop hatred for you.

There are those who hate you for no reason. Ask them what you have done to deserve their hatred, and they will tell you they don't know o. They are people that do not just like your face.

However, the most pathetic of all are those who hate you because of what someone told them about you.

I have good news for you; no matter who hates you and why they hate you; with God on your side, I can tell you with all joy that they don't amount to anything against you.

Permit me to say in Yoruba that "won kere si number e!" Won ko ti to, ki won lo posi wa! Those who despise you are infinitesimal and insignificant as far as the actualization of God's program for your life is concerned.

Haters have been existing from time immemorial and will continue to exist till the kingdom come. You cannot but have them in your life if God truly blesses you.

In fact, if you don't have haters, you may need to check yourself repeatedly to know if you are making progress or doing something meaningful with your life.

Happy Sunday to you all

The Painful Reality of Life: When the Rain Stops, the Umbrella Becomes a Burden

Life often teaches us some of its harshest lessons through the simplest of metaphors. Consider the umbrella, a faithful companion during a storm. It shelters us, keeps us dry, and provides comfort against the elements. But once the rain ceases, that very umbrella, so crucial moments ago, becomes a cumbersome burden. This transition captures a painful truth about loyalty and human relationships: when the benefits cease, so too does the loyalty. In our lives, many people flock to us not for who we are but for the value we bring and the benefits they can derive from us. They thrive on the opportunities, support, and advantages we offer. As long as we are useful, as long as we can provide shelter from life's storms, we are cherished and needed. But when the rain stops—when the benefits diminish—these same people often disappear, leaving us to ponder the true nature of our connections. This realization can be incredibly disheartening. We yearn for genuine relationships, for loyalty that...

My 96-Hour Goose Chase

A few days ago, I embarked on a journey I never imagined I would experience. It all started with a simple goal: to clear a small debt that had been weighing on me. I thought that taking a small loan would be the best solution to get back on my feet and settle everything. Little did I know that this decision would lead me into a 96-hour goose chase that cost me time, money, and trust. I began my search for a loan online, and after some browsing, I came across a Finance company that seemed legitimate. I reached out to them, eager to resolve my situation. After completing all the necessary forms on their website, they informed me that my credit score was low and, therefore, I wouldn't be approved for the loan unless I paid an upfront amount equal to one month's repayment (450 AED). They assured me that this amount would be refunded once the loan was processed and credited to my account. Naively, I rushed to the ATM to deposit the requested amount. Here's a breakdown of what fo...
