Celebrity: Fame : Stardom

I used to think that famous people were so cool when I was a teenager. My dream was to become a famous musician or entertainer and I thought stardom was the best way to live.

My perception of it changed as I got older. We are all human, including celebrities. Many of them struggle with mental health issues and have experienced trauma.
Yet they’re placed on a pedestal by their fans. They’re pressured to keep an image that doesn’t always represent who they truly are. Their entire lives are exposed to the world to see and judge. They have no privacy.
I don’t know about you but that doesn’t seem like a lifestyle that can make anyone genuinely happy.
I read Marilyn Monroe's story(Marilyn Monroe - Biography - IMDb ). She seemed to have it all. She was famous, proposing, and rich. But she suffered through so much abuse her entire life, never knew her father, and had a mentally ill mother. Did drugs to escape reality until she died of a broken heart.
My point is that money is essential to afford basic needs, and there’s nothing wrong with wanting a lot. But money alone isn’t all it takes to be happy.
There are people with less financial wealth who are content, and others with an abundance of cash who are miserable. Here's the irony of life.
Looks and fame are hyped, but they don’t last forever. It doesn't matter about one's wealth, eyes, or fame if they feel empty, don't have peace, or don't have genuine friends and family who truly love them.
Money can buy a certain amount of happiness. It gives comfort, and security and solves a lot of problems. However, some things are too priceless for money to afford. Money can't buy genuine love, true friendship, loyalty, inner beauty, and peace of mind.

If all it took to be "happy" was fame and money, then the Entertainment industry wouldn't be filled with so many unhappy celebrities appearing to "have it all" yet struggling with mental issues, traumas, and insecurities.
Jim Carrey once said: I think everybody should get rich and famous and do everything they ever dreamed of so they can see that it's not the answer.

  2. My mom use to say, money is the root of all evil. Never really understood that but I can see it now. As long as I have a roof over my head, bills paid, and food in my mouth, im ok with that. If I had alot of money I would make sure my family was taken care of and a cpl of true friends. One thing for sure is money doesn't buy love and some people don't even know what that word is. Trust me, I know.

  3. Money can't buy happiness because there are lot of rich people who are truly lonely and they mostly feel like they don't belong

  4. Money isn't evil, it's when you put money before The LORD JESUS CHRIST and that is when it becomes an idol. You will never have true satisfaction with money alone. But with Jesus Christ in your life, He will use your wealth to Glorify Him to give to those in need, and only through HIM you will be truly satisfied with true happiness which money and wealth cannot buy.🙏

  5. Are you sure Marilyn Monroe died from a broken heart? I thought all these years she died of an overdose. She did have a terrible life, but she also made choices that weren't healthy. If she didn't have money, she may have still died of an overdose.

    1. I read she did. I could be wrong tho. But I mean, if she did die of an overdose, it’s definitely because she was escaping her broken reality. She was also an alcoholic. Her own mother tried to kill her when she was a child. So so sad life. Also you can as well read about Whitney Houston or Micheal Jackson

  6. İf you are a celebrity or just a simple person, definitely if your mental health is not OK, the fame and money would never be enough or will be enough but not important anymore. Why do most celebrities have a broken heart or not a stable mentality, cause those people always used to have fame and being so popular, while they are aging definitely the cinematographers will look for someone fresh and new, and then those who was having fame start to loose it that's why most of them are mentally not stable. And most of time comitting a suicide. Thank you for article Femi.

The Painful Reality of Life: When the Rain Stops, the Umbrella Becomes a Burden

Life often teaches us some of its harshest lessons through the simplest of metaphors. Consider the umbrella, a faithful companion during a storm. It shelters us, keeps us dry, and provides comfort against the elements. But once the rain ceases, that very umbrella, so crucial moments ago, becomes a cumbersome burden. This transition captures a painful truth about loyalty and human relationships: when the benefits cease, so too does the loyalty. In our lives, many people flock to us not for who we are but for the value we bring and the benefits they can derive from us. They thrive on the opportunities, support, and advantages we offer. As long as we are useful, as long as we can provide shelter from life's storms, we are cherished and needed. But when the rain stops—when the benefits diminish—these same people often disappear, leaving us to ponder the true nature of our connections. This realization can be incredibly disheartening. We yearn for genuine relationships, for loyalty that...

My 96-Hour Goose Chase

A few days ago, I embarked on a journey I never imagined I would experience. It all started with a simple goal: to clear a small debt that had been weighing on me. I thought that taking a small loan would be the best solution to get back on my feet and settle everything. Little did I know that this decision would lead me into a 96-hour goose chase that cost me time, money, and trust. I began my search for a loan online, and after some browsing, I came across a Finance company that seemed legitimate. I reached out to them, eager to resolve my situation. After completing all the necessary forms on their website, they informed me that my credit score was low and, therefore, I wouldn't be approved for the loan unless I paid an upfront amount equal to one month's repayment (450 AED). They assured me that this amount would be refunded once the loan was processed and credited to my account. Naively, I rushed to the ATM to deposit the requested amount. Here's a breakdown of what fo...
