Why Your Happiness Bothers Them

Have you ever stopped to wonder why some people seem troubled by the happiness of others? It’s not paranoia; it’s a harsh reality. Some people carry so much pain in their hearts that they seek comfort in seeing others unhappy. It’s baffling, really—how could someone find solace in another person’s struggle?

Life is a shared journey, and happiness should be universal. Even when challenges arise, it’s our responsibility to seek peace, joy, and purpose. But for some, seeing someone else thrive—whether it’s in relationships, career, or personal stability—stirs envy instead of inspiration.

Why? It’s not always about what you have; it’s about the idea that you have it too. They may resent the smile on your face, the love in your life, or even the quiet contentment you’ve built. And sometimes, this envy exists even if they already have similar blessings! It’s a sad truth of human nature: some people can’t stand to see others happy because they haven’t made peace with their own unhappiness.

But here’s the thing: their bitterness isn’t your burden. Don’t let their negativity dim your light. Keep living your best life, embracing your joys, and building your peace. Their resentment isn’t a reflection of you—it’s a reflection of their own struggles.

So, what can you do? Wish them well. Offer them the grace they may not be able to extend to you. Because if they’re busy hating your happiness, they need peace more than anything else.

Let your light shine, no matter how much it bothers some. In the end, none of us take anything material from this world. All that remains is how we lived, loved, and uplifted others. Keep choosing happiness—it’s the best way to live.

  1. I've been on the receiving end even without having anything to brag about. Some people are so insecure, it is all about power. Others are eaten alive by jealousy. "Competition" is another reason they can't be real friends with anybody as they probe for an opening to bring you down. It's like they never left the school yard. Be discerning, recognise red flags early and disengage promptly.

The Painful Reality of Life: When the Rain Stops, the Umbrella Becomes a Burden

Life often teaches us some of its harshest lessons through the simplest of metaphors. Consider the umbrella, a faithful companion during a storm. It shelters us, keeps us dry, and provides comfort against the elements. But once the rain ceases, that very umbrella, so crucial moments ago, becomes a cumbersome burden. This transition captures a painful truth about loyalty and human relationships: when the benefits cease, so too does the loyalty. In our lives, many people flock to us not for who we are but for the value we bring and the benefits they can derive from us. They thrive on the opportunities, support, and advantages we offer. As long as we are useful, as long as we can provide shelter from life's storms, we are cherished and needed. But when the rain stops—when the benefits diminish—these same people often disappear, leaving us to ponder the true nature of our connections. This realization can be incredibly disheartening. We yearn for genuine relationships, for loyalty that...

My 96-Hour Goose Chase

A few days ago, I embarked on a journey I never imagined I would experience. It all started with a simple goal: to clear a small debt that had been weighing on me. I thought that taking a small loan would be the best solution to get back on my feet and settle everything. Little did I know that this decision would lead me into a 96-hour goose chase that cost me time, money, and trust. I began my search for a loan online, and after some browsing, I came across a Finance company that seemed legitimate. I reached out to them, eager to resolve my situation. After completing all the necessary forms on their website, they informed me that my credit score was low and, therefore, I wouldn't be approved for the loan unless I paid an upfront amount equal to one month's repayment (450 AED). They assured me that this amount would be refunded once the loan was processed and credited to my account. Naively, I rushed to the ATM to deposit the requested amount. Here's a breakdown of what fo...
