Money does not change people, it just opens doors to more options for most people in life. Without money, people tend to make decisions based on their needs, which they need at the time.
Money and success for men is a status that allows more mating potential.
Beauty for women is a status that allows more mating potential.
A man with higher access to women can have more offspring, and thus increase his reproductive success. One man can have 1000 offspring with multiple partners.
A woman with higher access to men won’t have any more offspring than she could have had with regular access. But a woman with higher access to high-status men is more likely to have her offspring(s) survive and thrive.
When a Man makes money he feels like he wants more women but when a Woman makes money she feels like she doesn't need a man.
When it comes to relationships men care more about the Youth, Beauty, and the Cooperativeness of a woman.
While women care more about the man's ability to provide security, resources, and status.
